Free Write II

An impeding force is looming in the distance and all the students at Nebraska Wesleyan can feel it. Some are anxious while others are fearful. However, all of these students are all awaiting the same fate: Fall Break.
I cannot begin to tell how relieved I am that I am about to have a relief from classes. At the beginning of the year, I believed that Biology of Plants would be an easy class and my hardest course would be Principles of Chemistry. However, as the semester progressed, this belief had reversed. Thankfully, Fall Break has arrived for me to regroup mentally and assess my academic game plan. Though, I feel I may be as busy on break as I would be at school.
Thursday night, my high school, Elmwood-Murdock, is playing their arch-rivals Louisville here at Nebraska Wesleyan. Finally, I’ll be able to see old faces that I have not seen since graduation. Also that night, my roommate and I are taking all the furniture out of our room and reorganizing the room.
Friday, I will be able to go back to my home and spend time with my family. The last time I saw my parents was two weeks ago, and the experience of a home cooked meal is always satisfying.
Saturday, I will spend time with my younger siblings who I have not talked to in ages. I will most likely play football with my younger brother and talk with my younger sister about how her job at Mahoney State Park is going and ask how the staff is coping without me. That evening, I hope to reunite with my best friend from work at his house party. Perhaps I will spend the night there, granted there is enough room for me to do so.
As for the rest of the break, I hope to regain lost sleep, pull together some loose ends of homework, and be apt to tackle the remainder of the semester. Let the vacation begin!
